Chargers vs Rams- Preseason Postgame Analysis, Bolts lose 7-6
In a game resembling the sad 2008 season of the San Diego Padres, the Bolts lose to the St. Louis Rams 7-6. The Chargers are now 1-1 in the preseason.

The Chargers came into St. Louis resting a majority of their starters, so the final score is not surprising. Here are some of the positives and negatives I'd like to point out:
Positives
- CB's Antoine Cason and Cletis Gordon started at corner and both grabbed one interception. Each player is definitely competing hard for that nickel corner spot.
- RB Jacob Hester continues to run the ball well 12 carries for 59 yards.
- Rookie DT Lamar Divens was frequently in the Rams backfield in the 2nd half and forced a fumble.
- Punter Mike Scifres and kicker Nate Kaeding continue to be in midseason form.
Negatives
- RB Darren Sproles injured his right knee on a punt return.
- QB Charlie Whitehurst played fairly well except when they need him the most. Whitehurst misfired on several 3rd and 4th down plays. He missed a wide open WR Gary Banks on a streak pattern down the left sideline.
- Chargers offense went 1-10 on 3rd down and 0-3 on 4th down.
- Chargers defense gave 119 yards rushing in the 1st half.
